Energy Efficiency
Natural gas can be used more efficiently in electricity generation and heating applications. Natural gas combined cycles, for example, are over 60% efficient, meaning they can generate more electricity from the same amount of fuel compared to other technologies.
Reduced Emission of Polluted Gases
Natural gas emits lower amounts of pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2) and particulate matter compared to coal and fuel oil, contributing to better air quality.
